The Bootable Flash Drive

One of our favorite tools at Greenwood Technical is the Bootable Flash Drive. Bootable flash drives are not that uncommon, but we have tailored ours with a specific set of programs that will help the technician troubleshoot and repair some common problems with PCs, such as partitioning and password troubles. Based on Ubuntu 8.1 (Linux), the flash drive is also fully customizable, so you can change the screen resolution and appearance to suit your tastes. Add or remove programs easily to suit your needs.

Ubuntu is extremely user-freindly. Adding and removing your own selection of programs is as simple as a few mouse clicks. No need to learn the Linux line command language, as it's very similar to Windows.

Fully customizable Ubuntu Linux on a 4GB bootable USB flash drive. The OS runs seperately from the computer's hard drive, so all work is saved to the USB drive. Add and remove programs as you wish, set your own bookmarks, and cruise the Internet without leaving tracks on the host computer. Comes pre-programmed with PC troubleshooting and repair in mind.
